Watch Me Throw the Ball!

Willems, M. (2009). Watch Me Throw the Ball! NY: Hyperion Books for Children.
Elephant is happy throwing his ball, but when Piggie find the ball he tells Elphant that he can throw it better than him. Elephant tries to convince Piggie that it is hard to throw a ball. Piggie throws the ball and thinks that he has thrown it to far away that you can't see it. He is convinced that he is the best at throwing the ball, but Elephant tells him that in fact the ball was not thrown far away, because it ended up behind him. Then Piggie tells him that he has thrown it so fast that it went around the world and landed behind them. Elephant then tells him that that is not true, but Piggie does not care because he had fun throwing it. Elephant then decides that throwing a ball should not be hard work, but it should be fun to do.
